10. Improve Your Mindset

Lightbulb- Improve Your Mindset

This is an aspect of getting started that is often overlooked.

What I am talking about when I say improve your mindset is, improve the way you think and approach your goals.

What you think matters. Much more than you know!

I know that how you talk to yourself can change everything. It can help you succeed or fail.

Don’t believe me?

Read the book, What To Say When You Talk To Your Self by Shad Helmstetter. Reading this book will help you gain some amazing insight for yourself.

If you don’t want to read it, then you are just going to have to take my word for it.

You need to believe you can reach your goals. If you always doubt yourself, you are going to stand in your own way.

Take this for example. I have seen this one happen too many times to count.

Say your goal is to lose some weight, but you constantly say you can’t lose weight or your fat.

Think about that for a minute.

Have you ever done this or something similar to yourself?

How can you expect to reach your goals if you are second guessing yourself? Or worse, telling yourself you can’t do it!

Be aware of your thoughts. Write down any of the negative things you say that could hinder your progress.

Then, rephrase each of them so when you start to have one of these thoughts, you can stop and rephrase it as it should be.

For example, maybe you are telling yourself that this is all too much for you. So, when you tell yourself, “I can’t do this,” rephrase it as, “I am going to break it down and take it step by step”.

This is one great way to help change your mindset.

There are many ways to work on your mindset. For getting started, this is an important aspect that you need to keep in mind and work on as you progress.

How To Use This Today

There are two main things you can do today to start improving your mindset.

First, make a list of the negative thoughts you have and rephrase each one. Keep the list with you, so if you have a negative thought, you can look at your sheet and rephrase that thought.

Soon enough you won’t need your paper anymore.

Second, do some research to find more ways to improve your mindset. As I said, there are many ways to do this.

But this is a starters guide to get you going, so it would be far too much information to lay it all out here.
