14. Find What Works For You

Sign That Says You Got This

Here is where we wrap this up. This is a fact that all too often gets pushed aside. You know you and your body best.

Everyone is different and health and fitness is not a one size fits all type of thing.

Don’t get caught up in people telling you to do this or that. Don’t focus on the current diet trends or what your favorite celebrity is doing.

Pick foods and exercise that are right for you and that you enjoy.

This is key so I am going to say it again!

Find what works for you and pick what you like.

If you are choosing an exercise routine that you like, or eating healthier foods that you enjoy, you are going to be much more likely to stick with it.

Working on your health and fitness doesn’t have to be miserable. You can appreciate the choices you make so much that you are able to make that your new lifestyle.

I know you can because I myself have made great strides in my health and fitness. And I enjoy it!

I think part of what stalls people is that they think they have to be unhappy with the workout they are doing or the foods they are eating. If they are happy, they must not be doing it right.

Or they don’t understand that healthy food can be filling and satisfying.

Whatever part of health and fitness you decide to work on, focus on making it as enjoyable as possible.

Forget those trying to push other stuff off on you. If you don’t like quinoa, there are plenty of other healthy options out there.

And burpees. Please! If you aren’t a fan you can still get a great workout a thousand other ways that you do like.

I just want to point out that diet pills and fancy drinks are just not going to cut it if you are trying to make great changes that last.

Focus on lining up what you enjoy with your goals. That will set you up for success!

How To Use This Today

If you have already taken steps to work on your goal, ask yourself, “do you like how you are doing it?”

If the answer is no or not really, come up with some new options to reach your goals.

Don’t forget to step out of your comfort zone when re-evaluating. And keep in mind that there is no set in stone path you have to take to be successful.

So, don’t be afraid to do a little trial and error to see what is right for you.
