I know it can be a real chore to stay fit. Everyone wants to work on becoming healthier, but let’s be honest, who has the time. I know I feel this way sometimes.
The thought of spending hours at the gym or starting a diet is unappealing to most. What I am going to share with you are small things you can do each day to become healthier. And who knows, maybe this is the start you need to make more significant changes later.

Again, something simple like this can have an impact over time. Now they can make it up the stairs without feeling so winded.
A Fitbit can be a great way to help you stay active. If you are looking to get one, this is a great option at a fraction of the cost. It is not a Fitbit brand, but has all the same functions!
This is a great way to help yourself stay more active. You can set different goals, such as how many steps you want to get in a day, or how many calories you want to burn, and even how many days a week you want to workout.
It is an easy way to help you track all of that and help give you some motivation to reach those goals.
If you have a desk job, make it a point to get up and move around a couple of times throughout the day.
Even just doing this can give you some extra energy when you start to feel sluggish.
If you can walk to work, go for it! If not, park farther away from the entrance so you have farther to walk.
Speaking of parking, parking farther away is always a good option for when you go to a store as well, weather permitting of course.
If you have a pet, play with them more. Whether it’s in the house or outside, it doesn’t matter. Playing with them will benefit both you and your pet.
You can also walk in place as you watch TV. Or ever do a light workout, such as crunches.
No matter what it is, just get moving!

It can make you more flexible, which helps to ensure you don’t pull a muscle. It also improves your posture and relieves back pain.
I have a job where I am sometimes sitting a lot. I have found stretching, even right in my chair, can really reduce tension. Shoulder shrugs and rolling my neck are usually my go to’s to loosen up.
So, if your muscles start to feel tight, get up and stretch it out!
