Precision Nutrition Certified

I have been passionate about health and fitness my entire life. Growing up, I was big into playing sports, but it wasn’t until high school that I really realized the impact it had and would have on my life.

I played basketball from elementary school all the way up until my Junior year in high school when I didn’t make the team.

Now, at the time, this was pretty devastating to me. It was a huge blow to my confidence. I was 5 feet tall, 94 pounds at the time and had already had many years of people telling me I couldn’t do things.

I got a little depressed and a little lost. I started to question a lot of things about myself.

Fortunately for me, I had a gym coach who also happened to be the Powerlifting coach. He spent weeks trying to talk me into joining the team.

Finally, even with the low self-esteem, I caved and decided, what did I have to lose? I only caught the last month of the season because I joined so late.

But even in that short amount of time and with the encouragement of an amazing coach, I realized how strong I was. Not just physically but mentally as well. It was like flipping a switch. All of the sudden I felt (and knew) I could do whatever I set my mind to.

The next year I stayed on the team and my love of fitness grew, as did my confidence.

I wanted others to feel that excitement. The thrill of pushing yourself and succeeding, even when others aren’t so sure.

Fast forward several years and that passion is still there. So much so that I got my Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certification to better learn how I can help people live their best life.

I also work as a consultant for Epicure, a company that makes quick, easy, and healthy meal solutions. I am all about helping people find simple and sustainable ways to build healthier habits. If this interests you, you can check out my page here. And join my VIP Facebook Group.
