We all love to snack. Even if you think you aren’t a person that snacks routinely, you still nibble sometimes. And there is nothing wrong with snacking. The problem comes in when you aren’t making healthy snack choices. So why not try some 100 calorie snacks?
It is always easier to stop at a gas station or hit up the vending machine to grab a little something to eat. It is convenient and taking the time to find and pack healthy snacks to bring with you takes time.
Especially if you have no idea what kind of healthy snacks you should be having.
Now, I know convenience is important but when you are looking to make healthier choices, they are rarely the best option.
Here I have put together a variety of 30 great 100 calorie snacks, so you can easily make a fast, healthy choice. I am using 100 calories as the base because that is the recommended amount of calories (or less) you should be having for a snack.
It seems silly to define snacking, but it is important to know exactly what it is so you know when you are snacking and when you are eating a meal.
Snacking is when you eat a small amount of food. According to the amount of calories you should be taking in each day, a meal should consist of 300-400 calories for women and 400-500 calories for men.
So the calories you should be having for a snack should be around 100 calories.
Now calories are not everything. Some people so not pay any attention to calories and that is fine. You do not have to start counting all of your calories.
I just find using the 100 calories to be a great way to make sure your portion size is good and you don’t overindulge on your snack.
